WILLCARE To Implement Homecare Homebase

Kingston NY, October 2011- Home healthcare provider WILLCARE is pleased to announce that they have moved forward with Homecare Homebase™ as the integrated software solution they will implement in their thirteen home health branches in Ohio, New York and Connecticut.  Homecare Homebase (HCHB) is a leading web-based software solution that is specifically designed to meet the needs of the complex homecare and hospice industry.
WILLCARE selected HCHB because they were looking for a unified, fully integrated platform that would improve patient documentation, ensure compliance, and increase efficiencies, all  while enhancing the delivery of quality, compassionate care.
“The Homecare Homebase solution will help us streamline documentation using smart phone technology which will enable clinicians to deliver patient focused, quality driven home health services, “said Ann Gemerek, Director of Compliance for WILLCARE, and Project Manager for the system implementation process, “Information is delivered in real-time, which will help ensure the best possible care for our patients."
WILLCARE’s Homecare Homebase implementation is underway.  The Kingston branch location served as the “pilot” branch, and the staff started HCHB training in mid-September. Kingston is now “live” on the HCHB system, and staff reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. The most exciting change is the point-of-entry process – WILLCARE clinicians will all use Android wireless devices to run HCHB’s PointCare™ Manager software tool and transmit patient visit data to the office in real-time.
WILLCARE will start Homecare Homebase training in Newburgh, NY in mid-October, with plans for implementation in all branches by the end of the first quarter in 2012.
